Grade Rising 6 – Rising 8

Session 1: June 27 to July 6 (10 days, 9 nights)

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Please note that your preferred credit card will be charged within three days of receiving the acceptance email.

Pay in Full: By selecting Pay in Full, your credit card will be charged the full tuition cost of the chosen session upon acceptance into the Summer Program.

Payment Plan: By selecting Payment Plan, your credit card will be charged a 25% deposit upon acceptance. The remaining balance will then be divided into equal monthly payments between the date accepted and May 15, 2020 for rising 6th-8th grade sessions and June 15, 2020 for the rising 9th-12th grade session.

Regardless of which payment option you choose, all rising 6 through rising 8 grade accounts must be paid in full by May 15, 2020.  All rising 9 through rising 12 grade and financial aid award accounts must be paid in full by June 15, 2020.

 

FINANCIAL AID

If you plan to apply for financial aid, please be sure to apply as soon as possible, as financial aid is awarded on a rolling basis. Once all our available financial aid funds have been allocated, we will be unable to offer any further aid.

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

Please select “Yes” when you come to the question “Are you applying for financial aid?” during the application process. Additional questions regarding your income will be asked at that time. We may also request additional documents such as proof of income, if necessary to make a decision. Please note we are only able to award up to 30% of the full tuition to those applying for financial aid.

If accepted into the program, your financial aid award will be provided in your acceptance letter. You will have one week to accept the award.

FINANCIAL AID PAYMENT PLAN

Financial Aid families will have the option to pay the remaining balance in full, or to participate in a payment plan, which will begin in the month they are accepted into the program. If the acceptance comes prior to the 15th of the month, the payment plan will begin in that month. If the acceptance comes after the 15th of the month, the payment plan will begin on the 15th of the following month. The tuition balance, less the financial aid award, will be divided into equal monthly payments between the date accepted and June 15, 2020.

All Financial Aid family accounts must be paid in full by June 15, 2020.

 

HOW FINANCIAL AID IS DETERMINED

The participant’s acceptance to the program is not contingent on your financial aid request. We encourage everyone to apply. If we cannot match your needs for aid and you are unable to continue with the enrollment process, you will be offered a full refund, including the $50 application fee.

REMOVAL OF CAMPER FROM OVERNIGHT SUMMER PROGRAM

If a camper chooses to leave or is removed from the program for behavioral, motivational (including homesickness), and/or medical reasons, Girl Leadership cannot refund your payment. Medical reasons include: illness at the program, injury at program, previous or new medical condition or camper taking prescription medications that were not reported to our office prior to start of their session.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The $50 application fee is non-refundable. This fee is only refundable if the applicant has also applied for financial aid in order to attend the program and ultimately does not secure the subsidized funding.

Please review our cancellation policy below regarding the full Summer Program tuition:

 

  • Before March 1: Full refund (minus non-refundable $50 application fee).
  • Between March 1 and April 30: 50% tuition refund (minus non-refundable $50 application fee).
  • After May 1: No refund.

 

If your girl arrives late, leaves early, or is dismissed for any reason, there will be no refund of the application fee, deposit, or tuition.

 

ATTENDANCE 

We build an intentional experience for each girl. Much of the formative community building and bonding occurs within the first day and a half of the program. For this reason we do not allow girls to arrive after the first morning of the first full day. This guideline is in place to ensure the integrity of the community and that each girl does not lose out on this amazing opportunity!

Additionally, we do not allow more than two days of absence after the start of the program. An absence from the summer program is only permitted for valid reasons (such as illness or family emergency). Consistent attendance is required in order to build a strong community.
