Join us for our 2026 New York Power of Voice Celebration!
On December 1st, Girls Leadership will gather in New York City for our Power of Voice Celebration, an evening dedicated to honoring the women whose voice and leadership have shaped what it means for girls to lead with courage and authenticity.
This year’s honorees are presented not alphabetically, but as a story of legacy: Ann Rubenstein Tisch, our Legacy honoree, whose support helped ground Girls Leadership from its earliest days; Simone Marean, our Founder and Visionary, whose vision built it; and Sarah Spain, our Game Changer, who represents the future it is shaping.
Ann Rubenstein Tisch, a pioneer in girls’ education and founder of The Young Women’s Leadership School network, is being honored for her enduring legacy of championing girls. For three decades, Ann has helped girls, especially those who face barriers to opportunities, providing them with the education, confidence, and support to thrive in high school, college, their careers, and life.
Simone Marean is being celebrated as co-founder of the organization and for 17 years of steadfast leadership at Girls Leadership. Her vision and dedication have transformed countless girls’ lives and helped build an organization grounded in equity and impact, shaping the foundation of who we are today.
Sarah Spain, an Emmy and Peabody Award winning journalist, is being honored for the platform she has built as one of the leading voices in women’s sports media. As host of Good Game with Sarah Spain, Content Director of iHeart Women’s Sports, and co-owner of the San Francisco Signal, Sarah has spent her career amplifying the voices and stories of women and girl athletes.
Together, their stories capture the heart of this year’s celebration: the power of using your voice to open doors for the next generation of girls.
Our New York Power of Voice Celebration has a proud history of honoring changemakers who embody this same spirit, including A’ja Wilson, Carolyn Tisch Blodgett, Kimberly Davis, Billie Jean King, Valerie Jarrett, Qian Julie Wang, and Marley Dias.
