Finding Your Voice

Finding Your Voice

From Pressure to Purpose: Helping youth speak up, stand firm and lead change

They know something isn’t fair.
They feel it.
But they don’t always know what to say or what to do next.

Finding Your Voice equips educators with practical, healing-centered tools to support those moments with intention. This interactive training helps youth navigate peer pressure, understand how identity and power shape their choices, and take meaningful action aligned with their values.

Because voice isn’t just about speaking up, it’s about knowing what matters and having the skills to act on it.

What Participants Will Learn

In this 2-hour training, you’ll learn how to:

  • Support youth in navigating peer pressure and making values-aligned decisions
  • Facilitate conversations about identity, power, and systemic barriers in ways that engage and not shut down dialogue
  • Guide students from reflection to action using structured, ready-to-use frameworks
  • Build the confidence and skills young people need to speak up and follow through

What Makes This Training Different

This isn’t just about creating space for youth to share – it’s about helping them decide, act, and lead.

  • Moves beyond belonging into action
While other trainings focus on building inclusive environments, this one focuses on what comes next – helping youth take action on what they believe.
  • Centers real-world decision-making
Addresses peer pressure, identity, and power as they show up in everyday choices, not just in theory.
  • Practical tools you can use immediately
Includes structured frameworks like the 3 W’s (What, Why, When) and advocacy pitch practice to support real-time application.
  • Designed for adolescents navigating complexity
Meets youth where they are – at the intersection of identity, social pressure, and a growing awareness of injustice.

What You’ll Experience

This session is active, reflective, and grounded in real practice. You’ll engage in:

  • Movement-based activities like Four Corners to explore decision-making across identity and experience
  • Guided reflection and dialogue to unpack peer pressure and systemic barriers
  • Collaborative goal-setting using the 3 W’s framework
  • Advocacy practice through a “Speak Up” elevator pitch

You’ll leave feeling energized, clear on how to guide these conversations, and equipped with tools you can use right away.

The Impact

When young people have the tools to name what matters and act on it, they don’t just participate. They lead.

This training helps students move from silence or compliance to clarity, voice, and action, strengthening their sense of purpose, belonging, and leadership.
