Director of National Partnerships

 

Reporting to the Co-CEO, the Director of National Partnerships plays a critical role in driving Girls Leadership’s nationwide growth of its signature SEL training programs for K12 leaders, educators, youth development professionals, sports coaches and family service providers. The Director of National Partnerships will oversee the organization’s partnership engagement strategy and operations, which includes designing and executing an annual engagement plan to meet Girls Leadership’s impact and earned revenue goals. 

The National Engagement Director develops and cultivates relationships with schools, youth serving organizations and sports programs across the country who are seeking professional development training and curriculum resources to build and deepen the ways they support girls’ leadership and social emotional wellbeing. The Director of National Partnerships will oversee all partnership outreach and engagement activities and will be responsible for growing a national participant base and stewarding all partner relationships.  

The Director of National Partnerships will collaborate closely with Girls Leadership’s Program team on developing high quality trainings to partners and to support targeted engagement activities within the training team. 

(75%) Engagement strategy design, oversight, and execution: 

  • Develop and execute an annual engagement strategy in alignment with Girls Leadership impact and earned revenue goals including annual objectives and measure progress towards these objectives.
    • Expand and maintain a national partner pipeline to grow Girls Leadership’s network of program partners and participants
    • Oversee the full partnership lifecycle – from identifying new partner opportunities to closing leads into secured partnership contracts
    • Stewards partners to generate future engagement opportunities with Girls Leadership 
    • Meet or exceed all annual partnership training and earned revenue targets 
  • Create, test and execute differentiated engagement and outreach tactics to reach new and existing partners
    • Create custom email campaigns and other targeted communications to engage and steward partners
    • Attend targeted conferences and events to identify and build relationships with prospective partners
    • Identify and participate in targeted networking groups to engage prospective partners
  • Oversee and manage all partnership engagement operations
  • Maintain and update a Partnership Engagement Record Report and Salesforce dashboard to track against annual goals 
  • Responsible for ensuring all records of contact with partners (accounts and contacts) are entered into Salesforce
  • Work in partnership with Salesforce Director to oversee monthly impact and earned revenue Reconciliation meetings to align impact records from programs, Salesforce and Blackthorn registration system
  • Work with Salesforce and Operations Director to maintain Program training dashboards to track against annual goals 

(25%) Collaboration 

  • Partner with the Chief Program Officer to deliver on program training goals
  • Collaborate with the Training Director and training team to drive participation into training programs
  • Collaborate with the Training Director and Curriculum Director to assign and manage targeted partnership engagement activities and goals held by Training team members  
  • Partner with the Program team to coordinate and facilitate discovery meetings with potential partners 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to recommend marketing collateral by sharing insights from partner conversations, and give feedback on requirements of the marketing collateral 
  • Partner with the Development team to understand and coordinate on funder-related program partnerships 

 

Qualifications
The ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrates a track record of experience successfully developing partnerships with nonprofit organizations or with K12 schools and school districts 
  • Has experience managing a sales or business development function and/or a related revenue generating programs and partnerships function; have a proven track record of closing partnership contracts that generate earned income
  • Seasoned and experienced relationship builder; exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong strategic planning and operations skills; uses data and insights to drive decision making
  • Knowledgeable about the educational and non-profit landscapes in the regions we serve and has experience partnering with various constituencies 
  • Works with high attention to detail and can manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Is a self-motivated, resourceful, innovative and strategic thinker, comfortable working independently with high personal accountability
  • Experience with a customer relationship management CRM platform; Salesforce a plus
  • Is passionate about girls’ empowerment and leadership;
  • Interacts effectively with diverse stakeholders and skilled in collaborating with staff across teams

Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time exempt position. Salary for this position is $100,000 annually. Benefits include health insurance, optional dental/vision,accrued vacation time, separate accrued sick time, 11 holidays per year, and a 401(k) plan available after one year of service.

This is primarily a remote position that requires some in-person engagement with potential partners and attendance at conferences, network events and staff gatherings.
