Identity, Balance & Belonging in a Connected World
Digital spaces aren’t just distractions, they’re identity spaces.
Young people are navigating a world of constant digital connection where identity, belonging, comparison, and pressure operate 24/7. Digital Wellness equips adults with culturally responsive, healing-centered SEL strategies to guide youth in reflecting on media habits, protecting mental health, building digital balance, and developing authentic online identities.
Rather than focusing on restriction, this training helps educators foster awareness, emotional regulation, and values-based decision making in digital spaces.
Why Digital Wellness Matters
Digital wellness is identity work.
How young people show up online shapes how they see themselves, their relationships, and their sense of belonging. Yet many adults struggle to address digital life in ways that feel relevant, supportive, and empowering for youth.
Often, conversations about technology focus on limits, control, or fear-based messaging. Digital Wellness takes a different approach.
This training helps adults create spaces where young people can reflect, build self-awareness, and develop the skills to engage with technology in ways that support their well-being.
When marginalized youth feel safe and seen online, everyone benefits. Healing-centered digital spaces strengthen belonging and mental health for all.
What Participants Will Learn
Participants will explore how to support youth in developing healthier, more intentional relationships with technology.
By the end of the training, participants will:
• Reflect on personal and youth media habits to support healthy digital balance
• Understand how digital experiences impact identity, belonging, and emotional well-being
• Strengthen facilitation practices that help youth navigate online spaces authentically
• Guide youth in building awareness, emotional regulation, and critical thinking in digital environments
