We are here to help you show up for your students next year.

The news and events of the summer aren’t helping our students who are coming of age in the midst of a national and global turmoil. That is why we’ve developed Building Brave Communities, a three-day experience and resources to take you on a journey, starting with Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, and arriving at Social Justice and Action.

The only way that we can effectively teach young people to move beyond their anxiety is if we can join them on that journey. Building Brave Communities is a 3-day learning retreat that provides the community, the experience, and the vetted teaching resources for educators to receive what we long to give to our students.

Our training evaluations tell us this approach is working. Past Building Brave Communities participants reported:

  • 100% gained the insights and knowledge to deepen connection to youth;
  • 100% were equipped with the resources that will enhance the SEL of youth; and
  • 100% felt encouraged to examine their own SEL capabilities and identify areas for growth.

Our training participants feel equipped with the SEL resources they need because this training provides 190 classroom-tested lessons co-designed with and for students in grades 6-12. We have the activities you can rely on day to day, and the curriculum to support students’ growth for the whole year. It is organized around 5 domains, and follows developmental needs in each domain from grades 6 through to grade 12.

Join us on your journey to empowered action this summer. Your community and curriculum are waiting for you.

Reserve your spot soon for our 3-day Building Brave Communities learning retreat in Oakland, starting on July 21st. Hope to see you there!
