This try-it-tomorrow tool is great for middle and high school learners.
This activity allows youth to choose their own adventure through different prompts, allowing them to listen actively, share authentically, and build connections.
Materials
- 2-Minute Know Me Prompts (see below)
Instruction
- Divide students into pairs.
- Give each pair a sheet with 2-Minute Know Me prompts or project them on the board.
- Explain that each person will choose which set of prompts they want to answer. While one person shares, the other will listen.
- After several minutes instruct the “listener” to become the sharer and respond to their chosen prompts.

Quick Tips
- Remind students to listen without interrupting as best they can.
- If time allows, invite students to share one thing they learned about their partner with the whole group.
