Summer Program Project & Athletic Instructors

Call for Project & Athletic Instructors!

Summer Program Project Fair

Mills College

Girls Leadership operates a residential summer program for middle and high school girls held on the campus of Mills College in Oakland, CA. Unlike traditional girls’ leadership programs, which teach girls “external” skills like public speaking or interviewing, Girls Leadership specializes in building the internal skills necessary for leadership: emotional intelligence, confident self-expression, and healthy relationships.

We are seeking project and active/fitness instructors for our summer camp. Workshops are 90 minutes with 10-15 campers per workshop session. Instructors will teach two-90 min sessions per day; 1st 2:30-4pm and 2nd 4:10pm-5:40pm.

The Project Fair will allow campers to explore a variety of creative mediums while at camp. We are seeking project proposals that focus on drawing, painting, scrapbooking, zine making, song, drumming, dance, theater, improv, spoken word, poetry, creative writing, and more.

Active & Athletic workshops will also take place during Project Fair and feature different fitness activities like yoga, track, basketball, soccer, dance, self-defense, Zumba, and bootcamp instructors.
