Tamar MacKay is a Brooklyn based artist and educator. She has worked in teaching roles focused on drama, early literacy, and arts at Blue School, Brooklyn Public Library, Park Avenue Armory, and more. She is currently the lead educator focused on family programs and early childhood at Brooklyn Museum. Tamar also makes interactive theatre for youth and young audiences, and her work has been seen at several New York City museums as well as Belfast Baby Day in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She currently can be seen on select weekends and holidays portraying a suffragist from 1917 at New-York Historical Society. Tamar is extremely excited to use the arts as a tool to empower girls at Girls Leadership.
