Stephanie is Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for Bixbee, a social mission startup company that makes backpacks for children. For every backpack sold, one is donated to a child in need. At Bixbee, she focuses on raising capital and developing company strategy.
Prior to Bixbee, Stephanie worked in children’s specialty retail at Gymboree, Pottery Barn Kids, & Disney. She managed product development and merchandising in premier brands with multi-channel distribution in hundreds of retail stores, catalogs and ecommerce. She also was principal and owner of her own interior design firm. Stephanie began her career as a consultant at Bain & Company where she served Fortune 500 clients developing corporate strategy on profitability, growth and operational efficiencies.
Stephanie received her Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and her Bachelors of Arts from UC Berkeley. She also studied at Beijing University as an exchange student.
Stephanie spends her free time with her family and three children. She is an active volunteer with an interest in education, serving as PTO president at her local elementary school and as a volunteer consultant on outreach strategy with Nueva, a school for the gifted. Stephanie credits Girls Leadership with the amazing opportunity her daughter had as a participant of GLI camp at Mt Holyoke. She wants to help other girls share in this transformative experience and is thankful to be serving on the GLI Board.
