
Sheela Krothapalli is a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) where she advises the Bio + Health portfolio companies on people strategy and organizational design.
Prior to joining a16z, she was the Chief People Officer for health tech startup Forward, where she led the people and talent function, helping to double the size of the company while partnering closely with the leadership team to scale operations. Before that, she was the Chief People Officer for Verily Life Sciences where she built its people function from the ground up, overseeing the company’s tremendous growth, expanding geo footprint, and portfolio expansion during her tenure. Prior to Verily, she worked at Google serving in a variety of people strategy, operational, and management roles.
Sheela graduated with a BS from Cornell University. She grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, and is settled in the Bay Area. She spends her free time staying active, exploring the world, and creating memorable experiences with her husband and son.
