Scott Schroeder

Mr. Schroeder has over 15 years of real estate investment and development experience in the New York metropolitan area and the Hamptons. Prior to co-founding Teranga Partners with Chef Pierre Thiam, Schroeder was Director of Development for Somerset Partners LLC, a private real estate investment firm specializing in multi-family and commercial office properties. During his tenure at Somerset Schroeder was primarily focused on the development of over 1.8mm square feet of real estate in the South Bronx with plans for 1,700 residential units, a retail component, and a waterfront promenade, in addition to for-sale condominiums and supplemental commercial hospitality development.

 

Prior to Somerset Schroeder served as Executive Vice President and Director of Development for the Americas for Dubai-based Eight Construction Group where he was involved in both the acquisition and development activities of the company including pipeline expansion and real estate investment management.

 

Schroeder joined Eight after seven years of developing real estate as a Partner with Fortress Development and previously serving as President of Princeton Development Advisors, a real estate development consultancy focused on project delivery and offering a range of services including brand development, site identification and acquisition, and design and development – including all interaction with building authorities, landlords, licensing and lawyers.

Prior to entering the real estate industry, Mr. Schroeder co-founded a rich media technology company after working for a Washington DC-based private equity firm. A serial entrepreneur, Schroeder was a Partner in the collaborative innovation firm Collaborynt and co-founder of Collaborynt Ventures.

 

Mr. Schroeder holds a BA in Economics from Washington and Lee University, with post-graduate studies in Real Estate Development and Finance at New York University.
