Sarah Wendt is an accomplished development professional and relationship builder whose work has impacted the growth of national and grassroots organizations. She is proud to have spent the majority of her career raising funds for education and amplifying the voices of girls and women.
Sarah is the Chief Development Officer at ReadWorks, a national ed-tech nonprofit dedicated to improving reading comprehension. Prior to this she was Chief Philanthropy Officer for the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in New York City and led fundraising and marketing at Student Leadership Network (SL Network) and The Young Women’s Leadership Schools. Sarah also served as the Development Director and co-Founder of Outward Bound’s Girls on the Move and held senior positions with Step Up, United Way ,and the American Heart Association.
Sarah has a BA from Gettysburg College, where she serves as a Trustee, and an MPA from New York University. She resides in New York City and is the proud mom of a teenage son.
