Sarah Wendt is an accomplished development professional and relationship builder whose work has impacted the growth of national and grassroots organizations. She has spent the majority of her career raising funds and amplifying the voices of youth, primarily girls and young women. Sarah’s work with organizations focused on equity, education and empowerment has generated more than $200m in philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, corporations and public grants.
As the Director of Strategic Engagements for the Ethical Fieldston School, Sarah leads communications, planning and campaign efforts at one of New York City’s largest independent schools. She previously served as Chief Philanthropy Officer for the School. Sarah led fundraising and marketing at Student Leadership Network (SL Network) in New York City for fifteen years and was also the Development Director and co-Founder of Outward Bound’s Girls on the Move. She has held senior roles with the American Heart Association, Step Up and United Way, and has consulted for nonprofits including A Better Chance, Dorot and PepUp Tech.
Sarah has a BA from Gettysburg College, where she serves as a Trustee, and an MPA from New York University. She resides in New York City and is the proud mom of a teenage son.
