As someone who is passionate about giving people the tools they need to live lives that they love, Patty has worked with persons of all ages in both professional and volunteer capacities. She holds a BA in Theater/Dance from Queens College and an MA in Counseling and Family Studies from Montclair State University. As a life coach and parent educator, she has developed and delivered over 80 seminar topics in private, public and nonprofit settings, and worked with clients one-on-one for 23 plus years. Over the course of her career, Patty has taught child and family studies at Montclair State University, developed and coordinated the parenting component of Students and Teachers Achieving Gender Equity, and founded the first annual Family Violence Awareness Day in New Jersey. She was a Sunday School teacher and coordinator of a life-span human sexuality and faith program at her church for over 13 years, and board trustee for a nationally reputed women’s reproductive health organization. In her spare time, she is facilitator/coordinator of a lay leadership development program, a wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother to six, crafter, cook and lover of life. After two and a half years as an Educator with Girls Leadership, Patty is beyond thrilled to be expanding her role. As the New Jersey Outreach Manager, she gets to work and play with great people who are up to making a difference by creating opportunities for participation in New Jersey Girls Leadership programs.
