A true brand architect with over 20 years experience, Melissa has helped countless brands evolve and stay relevant in the digital age. Since leaving her full-time role as chief marketing officer of Fairchild Fashion Media, Melissa splits her time between nonprofit work and consulting, working in a CMO capacity for brands such as Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James, About.com, iCrossing (Hearst’s digital agency), Orchard Mile e-commerce, and more. During her 4+ year tenure at Fairchild (the fashion news division of Conde Nast including Style.com, WWD, Fairchild Summits and more), she played a key role in driving the company’s evolution from a print-focused, New York-centric business into a multi-platform, global powerhouse. While at Lucky from 2006-2010, she successfully launched four revenue-generating sub-brands including the first-ever mobile shopping concierge for iPhone. She cut her teeth developing integrated marketing solutions for diverse clients at Marie Claire (1997-2000) and Condé Nast Media Group (2000-2006), after beginning her career at Inc. (1995-1997). Melissa lives in New York City with her husband and two kids.
