Liza Hubbell is a veteran teacher and a creative learner who has an abiding interest in translating core values of independence and healthy conflict resolution into experiences for young people and educational opportunities for adults. Liza is a writer, public speaker and poet who teaches civics, leadership and language in a Montessori classroom. In parenting her daughter and working with her 4th through 6th grade students, Liza looks for chances throughout the day to facilitate understanding of the self and others and help girls navigate the dynamics of relational aggression. Liza has long been invested in the positive growth of girls and women. She holds a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies, Art and American Studies from the University of Wyoming. When she isn’t teaching, reading or playing with her daughter, Liza enjoys gardening and deconstructing movie plots!
