Lauren DeVietro

Lauren is an educator and advocate committed to creating inclusive, empowering learning environments for young people. She studied Elementary and Special Education at SUNY Geneseo and earned her Master of Arts in Education and Social Policy from New York University.

Lauren’s work spans classrooms, community programs, and international humanitarian organizations. She has supported education access for children affected by conflict and displacement through roles with UNICEF and the International Rescue Committee, taught SEL to newly arrived refugee youth, served as a special education teacher, and coordinated economic empowerment programs in San Diego. She is excited to join Girls Leadership as an Innovation Manager, bringing these experiences together to help shape equitable, healing-centered programs that uplift girls’ voices and leadership.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys playing and coaching soccer, trying new cafes/restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
