Karina Jougla

Residential Teaching Counselor

Karina is originally from the small ocean-side town Carpinteria, California where she grew up going to the beach. Karina recently graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Comparative Literature and she currently lives in New York City. At Columbia, Karina was a Resident Advisor for over 120 students over the course of three years and loved the experience of building community in a residential setting. As a French-American dual citizen, Karina loves practicing her French, eating cheese, and making crepes. Karina discovered her passion for girls’ education and leadership development when she joined Girl Up, the United Nations Foundation campaign to support adolescent girls in developing countries, in 2010. Karina is excited to join Girls Leadership’s summer staff and is looking forward to getting to know all the girls.
