Jasmine Sheldon

Educator

Jasmine joins Girls Leadership with 10 years of experience working with youth. She holds a Bachelors degree in Multicultural Women’s Studies from Western Washington University and a multiple subject teaching credential from the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute (BATTI). Highlights of Jasmine’s career include leading peacemaking and conflict resolution groups for teens, running an outdoor recreational therapy program for homeless youth, instructing youth climbing and backpacking programs in the Pacific Northwest, and teaching nature day programs in the Bay Area. She is currently teaching a K/1 class at Creative Arts Charter School in San Francisco, where she is able to integrate her love of the arts into her daily classroom Jasmine is passionate about providing children with tools that empower them in their daily lives. When Jasmine isn’t teaching, she is often found playing at the beach, making art (she especially loves printmaking), and running in the Presidio.
