Dr. Jenn Wells

Dr. Jenn Wells (she/her) is an organizational change leader with nearly 20 years of experience in higher education and independent schools. As Chief of Staff for Alumni Engagement at UCLA, she drives collaboration and strategic alignment across alumni teams to enhance impact and purpose-driven programming. Jenn specializes in shaping organizational culture and strategy to boost performance, engagement, and lasting impact.

Her commitment to girls’ and women’s leadership stems from roles at women’s colleges like Barnard, Mills, and Scripps, and as the inaugural Director of Equity and Inclusion at Marlborough School, a girls’ independent school in Los Angeles. She has led transformational leadership initiatives and developed systems that build strong culture and shared purpose.

Jenn’s board service includes the UCLA Alumni Association Board, where she served on the Nominations and Governance Committee and co-chaired the Diversity Advisory Committee. Nationally, she held leadership roles in NASPA as Co-Chair of the Multiracial Knowledge Community and on the leadership team for Women in Student Affairs (WISA), advancing professional development and community-building for women in higher education.

She earned her Ed.D. in Organizational Change and Leadership from USC, researching institutional resistance to chief diversity officers. A national presenter and consultant, Jenn is dedicated to fostering environments where girls and gender-expansive youth lead with confidence and authenticity.
