Ayrie Aranda-Mori

Ayrie is a native of Los Angeles and has called San Francisco home for the past 17 years. She’s been a media and marketing executive for NBC Universal, Microsoft, Disney and Complex. Currently, she’s Global Client Partner at Walmart Media Group. Growing up in the digital media space, Ayrie has witnessed an ongoing gap and opportunity to connect with smart, young women, especially women of color. Joining Girls Leadership is an exciting opportunity to help shrink that gap and help our future leaders find their strong voices. She’s passionate about education, especially when it empowers young women, and young women of color, to find their voices.

Ayrie has volunteered/chaired for La Casa de Las Madres, a non-profit helping Women and Kids escape domestic violence and sits on the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Bay Area Innovation Group (sfBIG). sfBIG is a non-profit organization connecting marketing industry executives as well as providing thought leadership in the fields of tech, marketing, media, social and advertising. She has lead/sat on Multicultural Marketing panel discussions for sfBIG; providing education on the industry, its challenges and gaps. With 20+ years of experience in the media and marketing space, she’s not only passionate about the space and its growth, but also about providing guidance and mentorship to the next generation of strong female business leaders.

Outside of her professional world, Ayrie writes multicultural and bilingual children’s books and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. When Ayrie’s not busy with work or creating sfBIG events, you can find her writing, cooking/creating a mean pupusa, baking, salsa dancing, sweating at Orange Theory, or traveling/camping with her husband.

Ayrie received her BS in Business Admin. from CSULA and studied for her MBA at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, where they share a passion for classic cars.
